I’m an Assistant Professor of Digital Writing and Cultural Rhetorics at the University of Florida. I research and teach technical communication, digital rhetorics, and user-experience. As part of this work, I also co-direct the Multilingual User Experience Research Consortium, where I collaborate with community members, practitioners, researchers, and students to design and develop multilingual digital tools and technologies.
My professional trajectory has been shaped by experiences learning English as a second language, and, perhaps even more emphatically, by teaching students who navigate linguistic transitions in their daily communication. These experiences continue to show me how my roles as a scholar, student, teacher, and human being are constantly shaped by my interactions with others.
